Anti Wrinkle - What Really Works For Wrinkles?

By Tisha Miller

If you ask me what really works for wrinkles, I just think one needs to aware that there are simply too many products in the market that has been overly hype up. They promises a lot but failed to live up to what they have claimed. I won't use the word scam but I guess I have tried several products and I am always totally disappointed with most of them.

To effectively address the problem of wrinkles, you need first to understand how they develop. First you need to identify various factors that will lead to their development and then use the right product to eliminate them.

Causes of Wrinkles

Wrinkles develop because the skin starts to lose its elasticity and firmness. The substance largely responsible for its elasticity is a special type of protein, called collagen. Collagen is naturally produced by the body. But because of the natural aging process and the accumulation of toxins and free radicals that inhibit its production, collagen level inside the body begins to fall.

The body actually is able to replenish its own collagen molecules. As we age, our body systems weaken and can no longer cope with the rapid loss. By the time you reach the age of 45, around 25-30% of the collagen mass in our body will eventually be lost. This is when you start to develop wrinkles. Urrghs!

There are many research studies conducted on different substances that are suspected of aiding the body to replenish its collagen content. Most experts have recommended that only those substances taken from various plants and select animals known to boost collagen regeneration should be used.

Among those found to be highly effective in promoting continuous collagen production or really works for wrinkles are the following:

1. Cynergy TK. A special breed of sheep in New Zealand is widely regarded to produce wool that abundantly contains Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK is a particular type of keratin protein that helps the body to develop functional protein. Just make sure that the Cynergy TK content of any anti-wrinkle cream has not been extracted using heat or acids. When functional keratin is introduced, it is known to boost the production of the collagen bundles in the skin.

2. Coenzyme Q10. It was first discovered in 1957 by researchers at the University of Wisconsin, US. It a vitamin-like substance which is basically oil soluble and plays a major role in cellular respiration. Specific marine sources, especially the fresh heart and liver tissues of herring and mackerel, are good sources of Coenzyme Q10. In fact, they have the highest concentration per fresh weight among the animals known so far.

3. Hyaluronan. Hyaluronan is essential in the production of Hyaluronic acid. This acid is consequently important in the production of Type I collagen. This specific type of collagen is the one found in your skins, ligaments and bones. An exotic specie of kelp, called Phytessence Wakame, is known to have the richest source of Hyaluronan. For centuries, the Japanese are known to consume and utilize it as nutritional supplement. No wonder Japanese women are well known for their fair skin.

These substances only constitute half of what needs to be done if you want a truly fair skin free of wrinkles. These must always be combined with certain lifestyles changes, such as consumption of more fresh and green leafy vegetables, fruits with dark colors, ample rest, sleep and regular exercise. You also need to avoid many things, such as smoking, too much exposure to direct sunlight and processed foods laden with lots of harmful chemicals and toxins.

Take my word. Once you start to know what ingredients really works for wrinkles and using anti aging products that consist of the key ingredients I have mentioned, you will be definitely go a step closer to regaining your smooth and glowing skin free of wrinkles.

And to help you get clearer and younger looking skin, I will like to share with you one anti aging skin care product range that I found contains more active ingredients than any other cream on the market.
